log in/out problems - blogBugFix
A weird problem was affecting the user experience for any Firefox user. Common technique for internet sites, the blogHi! log in/Logout mechanism uses a cookie to store the id of the user that is logged in. When the Logout button was pressed, this cookie should have been removed.
Because of an invalid cookie handling on our side, whenever the logout link was pressed, Firefox, instead of deleting this cookie, created another one. Therefore, users would have to log in on every new page. To make it even more mysterious, Internet Explorer users didn't experience this problem at all. Anyway, the problem is fixed and, no matter which browser you use, you should have no more problems logging in or out.
