blog servers load

@ 08:31 PM (31 months, 25 days ago)
Since a few weeks, our blogging platform experienced a significant rise in users traffic. We're getting about 5-20 times more visitors than before. We recently made a software upgrade too, therefore our website and webservers are parepared to take this load. However there might be small interruptions in our service. If this happens, please let us know by contacting us. Please provide, if possible, a detailed description of what you were doing. Thank you!, your blogHi.com

blogHi: a few updates

@ 09:02 PM (31 months, 27 days ago)
A few updates today:
  • the blog entries and comments management tool should be simpler to use now; one can now select more items to delete, and some more useful links appeared in the management tool.
  • If there are more "commenters" on an entry, and they provided an e-mail address, and a new comment is made on that entry, all "old commentators" will get a only once a notification about this latest comment. This feature is provided in order to speed up reader response, and hopefully will be apreciated by the blogHi community.
We're also working on a solution to put back online the blog statistics. Thank you for your patience.

anti-spam comments feature

By default, anybody can leave a comment in your fresh new blogHi blog. Unfortunatelly, besides well-intented users trying just to let you know their thoughts, there are a lot of companies out there, using your blog to sell their texas holdem poker nonsense, or viagra pills, and taking advantage of these open comment forms. This is generally sad, since gifted developers are attracted more and more by the short-term revenues brought by this spamming industry, and join the dark side of the force.

over 1000 active blogHi blogs

@ 10:42 AM (32 months, 11 days ago)
We hate praising ourselves, but our blogs directory, containing all active blogHi blogs just crossed the 1k limit. By active blogs we understand blogs hosted by us with at least one post. If one considers that the blogHi website started only in November the last year, the speed of growth is quite impressive. We run a low advertisment budget, so this growth has been mostly driven by our users, to whom we are grateful.
