cheap spam around

@ 01:32 PM (29 months, 29 days ago)
The cheap spammer infecting blogs here with advertisment for "Buy WoW Gold" will have his blog deleted. As well all the spamming comments he  spread around will be wiped out. Please let us know if you encounter such behaviour in the future.
Updated: we deleted that person's account and blog. Any blogHi user that tries to spread spam into other blogs will suffer the same consequences.

a few site updates

@ 07:00 PM (30 months, 14 hours ago)
We introduced a spell checked button in the toolbar; hopefully we will make less typing mistakes eusa_shhh. Unfortunatelly the spell check works only with Internet Explorer, but it's implemented with an open source speller, and the library could be ported to other browsers in the future. There are also a few smileys packages there. Let us know if you need some more of these. http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3411/toolbar4hc.jpg
On the comments level, we also introduced an opt-in checkbox for users outside of blogHi, as well as an opt-out for blogHi members. We created this in order to avoid eventual SPAM complaints, since e-mail is such a sensitive issue.

wikipedia deleted our website presentation

@ 01:22 PM (30 months, 8 days ago)
bad news everyone. We used to have a webpage about blogHi with Wikipedia, the world encyclopedia. We wanted the world to know about us, and dared to believe our website would fit under the blog hosts tags, emphasizing core blogHi features.  These reasons matter little now; fact is we are out. The deletion reasons contain: too few users, non-notable website, advertising junk and vanity (more). We were obviously wrong presenting ourselves over there; and apologize if this was perceived as spam. Let's hope wikipedia will stay spam free as long as possible.

extended comments form

@ 04:58 PM (30 months, 11 days ago)
Thanks to Elmer's Brother request, there is an extended comments form available on blogHi. This form allows your blog visitors to use smileys in their comments, to have more control over their comment format, and at the same time offers them a live preview of their comments. This form is enabled by default, but can be disabled in your Blog Control panel, under the comments section.

menu template editor

@ 08:21 PM (30 months, 18 days ago)
The blog control panel offers a new function under the Template Editor menu. Besides the predefined template selection, blogHi users can now finally build their own menu templates; starting from a default set. It's possible to re-arrange the menu boxes, delete them, add new HTML code for any reason you can think of. Feel free to use the new dynamic menu template editor, and let us know your eventual problems with it.

Thank you for using blogHi,
